The course has 6 main modules, each containing a series of video lessons taught by career coach and digital nomad experts, Marisa and Diego. Each video contains our tried-and-true methods and inside information to identify your remote career path of choice, become a remote professional, and transition into the digital nomad lifestyle. Along with the videos, you will also find PDFs to accompany many of the lessons, containing guides, scripts, and worksheets. Lastly, you’ll get access to our recommendations for the best travel gear, gadgets, insurance, communities, and more that we’ve gathered from our community of 900 digital nomads.
What if I don't know what career is right for me?
Not to worry! This means….you’re just like many of the people who go through our GoRemote Employment course. Inside of the course, Marisa will use her career coaching expertise to walk you step by step through her proprietary process that she’s used to help hundreds of clients gain clarity on their career direction and life purpose. Travel or not, every student who has gone through this course has felt incredibly grateful for the clarity this course provides for their life direction, and the precise career they’re most excited to pursue next.
What if I don't yet have the skills for the job I want?
This is absolutely okay (and quite common)! Inside of the course, we’ll teach you how to gain experience in the field that you’re interested in before you start applying for new jobs. Using our savvy techniques, you’ll be able to confidently apply for your new career path with experience under your belt. Every now and then, some of our clients choose to get credentials or additional education, but it’s not typically necessary.
What if I want to start my own business?
Starting your own business is also a great way to become a digital nomad. However, it often takes at least 6 months to a year to truly begin making a profit, and entrepreneurship can come with a lot of stress and working around the clock. Getting a job with an existing company who will send you a regular paycheck to your bank account on a consistent basis is the fastest, easiest, and least stressful way to become a digital nomad. Diego
Diego is the CEO and co-founder of WiFi Tribe, a community of 900 remote professionals from 63 countries who slow-travel the world together while working. He has personally interviewed over 1,000 remote professionals who have applied to be a part of WiFi Tribe, and manages a team of remote workers himself.
This lifestyle and this community aren’t just Diego’s job – he’s passionately living it every day. Diego spent the last 5 years living and working (side-by-side) with more than 300 digital nomads of the WiFi Tribe community, as they traveled together – every month in a new city.
He’s seen all types of remote work, has hired a full team of remote employees, and has heard (literally) thousands of stories of how people from all different backgrounds have turned their work-and-travel dreams into reality.
Marisa
Marisa is a certified expert career coach, international speaker, and digital nomad. Her career coaching focuses on helping individuals who are stuck in jobs that they don’t love, discover how to make a full-time income while traveling the world, while excelling in a career path that they love..
Marisa has a business degree from one of the top business schools in the US. Prior to her digital nomad life, she worked in brand marketing at PepsiCo, co-managing the $1.5 billion dollar Diet Pepsi brand, and working closely with HR to recruit and interview other marketers to work at the company.
Six years ago, she negotiated with her employer to let her go remote, and has never looked back. She now runs several businesses while traveling the world full-time (60+ countries), and finds the greatest joy in helping others achieve the remote lifestyle as well.
