Orest Zub is a true digital nomad; he’s traveled to over 128 countries, and became a Digital Nomad in 2011 long before the term digital nomad was even mainstream. Since starting a simple remote job back in 2011, Orest paved his way through the travel and digital nomad evolution from a low budget backpacker to an established online entrepreneur with an audience of over 100k people.

At this moment, Orest has returned home to Ukraine with his wife and the males in his family to participate and support his country during the attacks from Russia, while most of the women in his family have fled the country.

In this episode, you’ll have the opportunity to hear Orest’s amazing story on how he became a digital nomad back in times when the technology was not up to par with the nomadic lifestyle, and you’ll also hear his personal experiences and perspective on what’s going on with the war inside of Ukraine right now.

In this episode, we cover:

  • How Orest became a digital nomad and how he discovered what he could work to sustain his travels
  • What led Orest to return home as the war began escalating, and the horrors that he’s experienced firsthand that no movie or explanation could prepare him for
  • The history of the war, and the moment Orest believed it began almost a decade ago
  • What the past 3 weeks have felt like inside of Ukraine since the war began
  • The uncertainty of 40 mill people expecting to get hit by a projectile any single moment of the day.
  • Different ways that you can support Ukraine right now if you’d like

Orest is passionate about documenting everything that happens during the war so that he’ll leave a written trail of truth that is not influenced by any mass media.
