About the role

As a Retention Strategist, you own the lifecycle strategy for a portfolio of 6-8 DTC brands. You will diagnose account health, build roadmaps, and lead client relationships while being supported by a dedicated pod consisting of an email specialist and a visual creator.
What you'll do
- Own the retention strategy across your client portfolio including flows, campaigns, segmentation, SMS, and lifecycle health
- Use data to identify high-leverage opportunities and build clear plans to capture them
- Brief and direct a pod of email specialists and designers to ensure execution meets strategic goals
- Lead client relationships through monthly reporting, strategy presentations, and performance conversations
- Connect work to business metrics like LTV, repeat purchase rate, CAC payback, and contribution margin
- Collaborate cross-functionally with paid social and Google pods on multi-channel clients
- Stay ahead of platform changes, emerging tools, and DTC retention trends
What they're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on Klaviyo experience managing DTC eCommerce accounts
- Proven track record of driving measurable retention outcomes for real brands
- Strong commercial instinct with a focus on revenue and profit
- Client-facing experience including presenting strategy and navigating difficult conversations
- Experience managing or directing a small team or pod
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A 2-minute intro video is required for consideration
Nice to have
- SMS experience via Klaviyo or Postscript
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Hiro Analytics or Triple Whale
