Vibe Check Score — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Vibe Check Score tool (“Vibe Check,” the “Tool”) provided by Beach Commute LLC. They explain what the Tool does, the rules for using it, and — most importantly — that its scores are opinions, not guarantees.

01 Acceptance

Vibe Check Score is operated by Beach Commute LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Beach Commute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Tool, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Tool.

02 What Vibe Check is

Vibe Check lets you submit a remote job listing — by URL or by pasting its text — and returns an automated read of that listing: a composite score, a verdict, and flags for things like listing freshness, real remote-culture signals, salary transparency, and language often associated with overwork or fake-remote roles. The Tool is an informational aid for job seekers. It is free to use; we may gate certain results behind an email signup and may change, limit, or discontinue the Tool at any time.

03 Scores are opinions, not guarantees

You understand and agree that:

  • Every score, verdict, and flag is an automated opinion and general information — not a statement of fact about any employer, and not professional, career, financial, legal, or tax advice;
  • The Tool works by pattern-matching publicly available listing text, which can be incomplete, out of date, misread, or simply wrong, and it does not involve human review of any individual result;
  • We do not guarantee any outcome — including whether a role is legitimate, still open, accurately described, or worth applying to — and you use the Tool and rely on its output at your own discretion;
  • You should independently verify anything important directly with the employer before acting on it.

04 Your input & email

You’re responsible for the listing URLs and text you submit, and you represent that you have the right to submit them. If you provide an email address to unlock results, you agree we may contact you as described at signup and in our Privacy Policy; you can unsubscribe at any time. We handle the data you submit in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Tool for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defame, or harm any person or company;
  • Scrape, crawl, resell, republish, or systematically extract the Tool or its output, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission;
  • Submit listings from sites whose terms prohibit automated access, or otherwise misuse the Tool to violate a third party’s terms;
  • Reverse-engineer, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Tool or its infrastructure;
  • Use automated means to access the Tool except as we expressly allow.

06 Intellectual property

The Tool, including its software, design, scoring methodology, text, and the look and feel, is owned by Beach Commute LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tool for your personal, non-commercial job search. You keep ownership of the listing text you submit and grant us a license to process it to generate your results and to operate and improve the Tool.

07 Third-party listings

Vibe Check analyzes and links to job listings on sites we don’t control. We are not responsible for third-party content, listings, hiring decisions, or practices, and a listing’s score is not an endorsement or condemnation of any company. Beach Commute LLC is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company, employer, or job board whose listings it analyzes.

10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beach Commute LLC and its members, managers, employees, and suppliers from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the Tool, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11 Changes & availability

We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue the Tool at any time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of the Tool after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12 Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Tool or these Terms, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
