NIRA is building a consumer credit platform for Middle India, targeting ~200m underserved people. Active in 5000+ cities and processing 15,000+ loan applications/day, NIRA is backed by and integrated with US-based Tilt.
We’re looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to join NIRA’s engineering team. You will have the opportunity to shape strategy for the infrastructure and product roadmap and have a direct and outsized impact on technical projects.
What you'll do
- Work closely with the local NIRA Engineering team and partner with the broader APAC Engineering team to increase the scale our platform can handle.
- Expand the platform to support multiple financial products and underlying instruments.
- Drive iterations on credit policy and improve credit decision systems.
- Collaborate with product, credit/finance, compliance, support and analytics teams.
What they're looking for
- 7+ years of experience
- Strong experience using Java
- Demonstrated experience working in AWS-native environments, using tools like DynamoDB, Athena and Lambda.
- Experience with scaled technical solutions and projects to increase the scalability of a platform.
- Clear communicator with the ability to articulate technical solutions and collaborate globally.
- Product Engineer mentality to own solutions from start to finish.
