89 Work-from-anywhere jobs hiring now for the week of October 22, 2025
⏱ 15 mins read
One more week working from Costa Rica, and still FULLY embodying our name “Beach Commute.” I mean, look where I get to go every afternoon (three minutes away):
This week we took a different direction on our podcast…We talked about the five regrets of the dying, based on the book by Bronnie Ware.
Now look…bear with me, ok?
The title may SEEM a bit morbid, but I promise it’s not, and it’s super relevant to a life of working from wherever you want. When you hear what the five regrets of the dying are, you’ll get it, and want to avoid having them…
- “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself.”
- “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.”
- “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”
- “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.”
- “I wish I had let myself be happier.”
Working from wherever you want really isn’t about taking calls in your pajamas. Well, it might be for some people, but that’s not the life we’re promoting
Working from wherever you want is truly about time and mobility.
The time returned to you gives you the opportunity to live a fuller life; being true to yourself and your dreams, spending more time with family, and allowing yourself to be happier.
If you can get the same exact work done from anywhere, then why in the world would it make sense to take away someone’s ability to live a more fulfilling life?
🙋♂️ Please help! Do me a favor and let me know here the types of jobs you want to see more of in this newsletter. I want to make this as awesome as possible for all 27k of you!
Now, to the record 89 jobs of the week…
Constructor
🌶️ Hot take
Constructor’s careers page is 90% employee-first in its verbiage, with a few tiny blurbs at the bottom about the company’s core values. They are PITCHING prospects. Bravo. And guess what? They are going to get the best talent that works the hardest and doesn’t leave the company.
With a 94% employee retention rate and 4.7 stars on Glassdoor, I completely buy it. Note to companies out there still promoting themselves as company/vision-first, take note. This is how you build a strong team and generate revenue. Here’s a few things I like:
✈️ Unlimited PTO: “We provide unlimited vacation time, unlimited sick time, and a minimum of 10 paid holidays every year. Also, take 3 mandatory weeks off per year!”
🏥 Healthcare: “Constructor pays for 99% of our United States team members’ medical, dental, and vision premiums.”
🔌 Tech/workspace stipend: “Constructor supports your optimal work-from-home setup. This includes a yearly Remote Work Stipend + one-time New Hire $500 Setup Stipend, as well as a company-issued Apple laptop.”
📚 Learning stipend: “On top of our Lifestyle Stipend, Constructor also provides a Yearly Learning & Development $500 Stipend.”
🔎 What they do
Constructor is the only AI product discovery platform designed explicitly for eCommerce retailers. Unlike other product search and discovery platforms, machine learning is in Constructor’s DNA, bringing dynamic personalization to the customer experience.
📊 AtlasScore©
Constructor gets a 94% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 1% of all work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere. Company policy: “Constructor is a 100% remote-first company. You can live and work from wherever you want!”

Railsware
🌶️ Hot take
I’m a sucker for a public-facing employee handbook, and Railsware has an absolute doozy. And for the love of god can companies start telling me WHY I should be applying to work for you? Sell yourself, please! Here’s some good reasons from Railsware:
🔌 Tech stipend: “When joining the team, we would ask you to use our secure hardware only. No worries, it’s going to be great new items, you can choose yourself.”
💪 Health and wellness: “Good health is a key element of an active lifestyle. Railsware helps you maintain it with an extra budget you can spend on what is best for your health at the moment. Be it a meditation app subscription, gym membership, or a yoga mat – all included.”
📚 Learning budget: “At Railsware, we don’t tell you how or what to learn. You get a dedicated sum that you can use to participate in conferences, visit workshops or take courses of your choice.”
⏰ Flexible hours: “Railswarians live in more than 25 countries with different time zones. All of them are free to choose their most productive work time and place.”
Oh and can I get a big amen for this? I was once named “Jeff do-I-have-to-join-this-meeting Baker” by a coworker…
🔎 What they do
Railsware is a product studio specializing in its own products and consultancy services. Their products, Mailtrap, Coupler.io, and Jira Smart Checklist, started as internal tools, gained community recognition, and evolved into successful commercial products with millions of users and future expansions.
📊 AtlasScore©
Railsware gets an 89% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 5% of all work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Almost work from anywhere. I wonder where the few places are that make this an “almost”… Company policy: “You can work almost from any place in the world bringing significant value to the team, influencing company decisions, and growing with us.”

Omniscient Digital
🌶️ Hot take
Well, you know I’m a sucker for a map of employee locations, and Omniscient has a beauty:
Here’s three perks they offer employees that really catch my eye:
Here’s what’s great about the above:
- Asking for a minimum number of vacation days taken is a huge green flag, because most people take fewer vacation days than normal under an unlimited PTO policy.
- Working from wherever you want and working asynchronous means total flexibility, end of story.
- Offsites in fun locations is always an awesome way to travel and connect with your employees.
🔎 What they do
Omniscient Digital partners with ambitious B2B brands to drive attributable organic growth. They use a qualitative and quantitative research process (OmniscientX) to develop custom strategies that index on a brand’s unique strengths and attributes. Then they build a content production operation that balances quality content with high velocity.
📊 AtlasScore©
Omiscient gets an 85% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 20% of all remote companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere. Company policy: “Work from wherever you want. We’re remote-first and default to asynchronous work.”

Developer Relations Content Writer: (Contract)
GitLab
🌶️ Hot take
GitLab has put more effort into their employee marketing and policies than 99.99% of the companies we’ve researched over the years. Seriously, their handbook is absolutely massive.
Here’s one of my favorite quotes about how they (accurately) think of the way productivity actually looks for a knowledge worker:
“A non-linear workday means that you can move between work and non-work time on an asynchronous schedule – without needing to account for PTO (paid-time-off). For example, a remote worker may start their day at 6:00 am and work till 9:00 am local time. To spend time with family, this person will not check work email or resume working again until 3:00 pm local time and continues to work until 8:00 pm local time. And tomorrow may be a totally different schedule depending on work/life circumstances.”
And my favorite policy on the website speaks to their stance on working remotely:
“Working remotely enables a tremendous amount of freedom, enabling team members to work from anywhere so long as there is a reliable internet connection.”
🔎 What they do
GitLab is changing the game for Development, Security, and Ops teams with its all-in-one DevOps platform. It’s all about revolutionizing collaboration, accelerating cycle time, cutting costs, speeding up time to market, and boosting developer efficiency.
📊 AtlasScore©
Gitlab gets a 84% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 20% of all work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere, as long as they have an entity in your home country. It’s a little unclear. They have a TON of published content about their views on remote work. Company statement: “Hiring and working from all over the world (instead of from a central location). Flexibility to live where you want as long as we have an entity in that location.”
Job Opportunities 🔥

Senior Product Designer: ($140k – $185k/year)
Product Analyst: ($87k – $186k/year)
Smartcat
🌶️ Hot take
Any company with a tagline “Work from anywhere on earth” automatically gets a special spot in my heart.
I also am a FIRM believer that “9-5 workdays” are insanely arbitrary hours with very little relevance to productivity. People are productive at different times, and definitely not for 9 hours in a row. Smartcat gets that:
🔎 What they do
Smartcat is a really cool translation management platform that helps businesses get their materials translated accurately and efficiently into different languages worldwide. They connect companies all over with a network of professional translators. They also use cutting-edge AI and cloud technology so their remote team of language experts can seamlessly streamline the entire translation process – delivering razor-sharp translations at lightning speed and without breaking the bank.
📊 AtlasScore©
Smartcat gets an 83% on the Anywhere Atlas putting it in the top 15% of work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Fully-remote, but not much clarity on whether or not you can travel while you work. Company statement: “Work from anywhere on earth! The world is your oyster at Smartcat. Our HQ is in Boston, United States, but our workforce is global — from San Francisco to New York, Barcelona to Istanbul, and beyond! The choice is yours at Smartcat. Fully remote team. We are a global team of 200+ enthusiastic people spread across 30+ countries. We have been fully remote since 2020, with some locations populated with more Smartcaters than others, such as Boston, NYC, SF, the Bay Area, London, and Lisbon.”

Loom
🌶️ Hot take
I LOVE Loom, both as a place to work and as a super helpful async tool. Anyone who reads my stuff knows that I cannot stand meetings. 90% of meetings probably don’t need to happen, only benefit the loudest person of the room, and eat into productivity time. Tools like Loom make it possible for remote work and digital nomad lifestyles to exist.
They even have a super comprehensive, transparent perks package broken down by where you are a citizen. I love everything about it.
🔎 What they do
Loom is a team of 7000+ Atlassians supporting an international group of 250,000+ customers. They build awesome tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello to help teams across the world become more nimble, creative, and aligned.
📊 AtlasScore©
Loom gets an 81% on the Anywhere Atlas putting it in the top 20% of work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere. Company statement: “Loommates are everywhere. We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go. You can choose to work from home, a local office in San Francisco or New York, or from the road if you’re the travelling type.”

Senior Solutions Engineer: ($139k – $219k/year)
Gametime
🌶️ Hot take
I’m considering Gametime for regular inclusion in the newsletter, but I’m not 100% clear on their WFA policy. They have a bit of a vague, “remote friendly” policy that doesn’t fully clarify any potential limitations. That said, they ARE fully remote, have a decent perk package, and acceptable Glassdoor reviews. Here’s a few features:
🏝️ Unlimited PTO: “Take what you need’ vacation policy (we actually mean it!)”
👶🏾 Paid Parental Leave: Peace of mind for parents to dedicate their time to the care of their new child
🏥 Healthcare: “Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents”
🔌 Tech stipend: “Monthly stipend to offset the cost of internet and any home office updates”
🔎 What they do
GameTime is your top spot for snagging last-minute tickets to the best sports, music, and theater events across the U.S. and Canada. They’re all about creating unforgettable shared experiences, and their passion fuels the tech that brings people together in real life.
📊 AtlasScore©
Gametime gets a 75% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 33% of all fully-remote companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Fully-remote. Company policy: “Remote First. Fully remote company.”

Chess.com
🌶️ Hot take
Have you ever played chess online? I certainly haven’t, but many many people do. So many that Chess.com has built out a team of 800+ employees to support the demand! They have a VERY simple careers page, but it feels more genuine and personable than 95% of the pages I’ve run into. Everything about this statement feels good:
“We’re always looking for great people to join the team. All of our jobs are 100% remote. We have a healthy work environment focused on well-being, respect, and memes/emotes. We communicate with Slack and positive energy beams.
If you love chess as much as we do, maybe this is your chance to work and do your hobby at the same time!? We have several positions we are looking to fill.”
I’d love to see more details about the perks they offer employees – a lack of visibility here is really the only detail driving their score lower.
✔︎ Hire-from-anywhere alert! Chess.com will hire prospective employees from anywhere.
🔎 What they do
Love chess? Chess.com is the place for you. With over 150 million members, it’s the top chess platform! Members can engage in free games, tournaments, and boost their skills through lessons and videos by esteemed Grandmasters.
📊 AtlasScore©
Chess.com gets a 68% on the Anywhere Atlas putting it in the top 50% of work-from-anywhere companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere. Note that (likely for tax purposes or timezone requirements) some roles require that employees can legally work from the US or Canada. Company statement: “This entire team lives and works remotely from homes, cafes, closets, and garages all around the globe: Canada, USA, Argentina, New Caledonia, France, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Brazil, Ecuador, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Australia, Pakistan, England, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Belgium, Germany, Belarus, Netherlands, and the Dominican Republic.”

Chainlink Labs
🌶️ Hot take
They do make some solid statements like “At Chainlink Labs, you own your journey. You’ll shape your career trajectory while collaborating with the brightest minds in the industry. By tackling complex challenges, you become part of a meritocratic, high-growth environment that values and rewards your commitment.”
That said, their careers page is very Chainlink-focused and what prospective employees can provide Chainlink, rather than employee-focused and what Chainlink can provide prospective employees. I’d love to see a bit more about how they feel about empowering employees.
I also don’t know what “temporary working abroad” means as a perk. If Chainlink could clarify, I would appreciate it. To me this sounds like they only let you work as a digital nomad part-time, which doesn’t make sense for a WFA company. I’d love to hear more from the company.
🔎 What they do
Chainlink Labs builds software that connects real-world data, like weather or sports scores, to blockchain apps. They’re basically the bridge that lets blockchains interact securely with information from outside their own networks.
📊 AtlasScore©
Chainlink Labs gets a 65% on the Anywhere Atlas, putting them in the top 50% of all fully-remote companies.
🏝️ Remote work policies
Work from anywhere. Note that they seem to have a limited timeframe in which you can work as a digital nomad. Company statement: “100% remote means 100% ownership of your success. Our 100% remote working cadence is designed to empower our team members to work from anywhere in the world while maintaining strong connections and collaboration. Learn more about how we support remote work and ensure everyone feels included and valued, no matter where they are.”
