About the role
We are customer-obsessed to an unusual degree. We built a phone so simple it works out of the box, no setup required, paired with AI-powered check-in calls and a family app to replace daily dread with genuine safety and peace of mind for seniors and their families.
We are well into 8-figure subscription ARR, pacing to 9-figure, with 30,000+ families trusting us with something that matters deeply to them. We are a lean, product-driven team where people take full ownership, move quickly, and care deeply about the customer.
What you'll do
- Set design strategy across the full customer journey including physical unboxing, mobile app, web dashboard, and agentic AI voice check-ins as one coherent story.
- Own outcomes past first activation, being accountable for adoption impact and metrics for features like AI check-in calls and spam blocking.
- Mock up full working prototypes quickly using modern AI development tools for the team, customers, and leadership.
- Build design foundations including a shared component language, research and testing habits with senior users, and documentation for non-designers.
- Operate as a strategic partner to leadership, contributing to roadmap and prioritization decisions with grounded customer insights.
What they're looking for
- 8+ years of product design experience including seniority at a company with $20M+ ARR and multiple interconnected products.
- Demonstrated design leadership and strategic influence shaped as a peer to engineering and product leadership.
- Experience improving onboarding and activation for complex, multi-surface products involving physical and digital interactions.
- World class UI, UX, and user research skills combined with excellent taste.
- Judgment to operate as the entire design function, setting priorities against company goals and communicating clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to establish a deep level of trust with product engineers and push each other toward better design.
Nice to have
- Experience designing for hardware unboxing or physical and digital product setup like IoT or medical devices.
- Experience with caregiving, eldercare, accessibility-focused, or health-adjacent consumer products.
- Prior experience both as an early/founding designer and at a scaled company.
